PURPOSE:To prevent chattering vibration and strain hardening due to slip phenomenon, by controlling a drive source in accordance with the result of comparison between a present signal indicating the speed shift condition including the cutting travel and rotating condition of a saw blade and the stopping condition thereof, and predetermine signal previously set. CONSTITUTION:A motor 8 is driven to rotate a dive wheel 4 after setting the travel speed of a saw blade 6 to a setting section 23 and as well setting a travelling time at its travel speed and a stopping time at a speed of zero by means of time pulse signals. Further the rotational speed of this wheel 4, and the present speed and travel time of the saw blade 6 may be obtained from the output of the detector 21 in a speed detecting section 22. A computing section 24 compares these present speed and travel time with desired speed and travel time, and controls a drive control section 25 in accordance with the thus obtained speed deviation so that the motor 8 is stopped when the travel time reaches the desired level time. Further, after elapse of a desired stoipping time the motor 8 is again rotated. Thereby due to the repetition of such cutting travel and stopping of the saw blade 6 the cutting is completed. |
