<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the titled composition capable of giving golf balls having a long fly over a wide range of compression along with high durability and high- speed impact resilience, by incorporating specific compounds is polybutadiene. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition can be obtained by incorporating (A) 100pts. by polybutadiene of >=40% cis 1, 4-bond with (B) x pts.wt., on an acrylic acid basis, of zinc acrylate, (C) y pts.wt., on a methacrylic acid basis, of zinc methacrylate, and (D) z pts.wt. of polyisoprene (e.g. natural rubber, liquid polyisoprene with a weight-average molecular weight 10,000-100,000) in such a manner as to satisfy the following relationships; (i) 35>=x+y>=26 (where y>=0), (ii) x>=y, and (iii) x+y+5>=z>=0.</p> |
