PURPOSE:To manufacture a slub yarn having soft feeling and particular form, easily, by supplying a plural staple fibers in a specific state to the drafting part. CONSTITUTION:The staple fiber bundles 1, 1'' are supplied intermittently to the drafting part via the nipping devices 5, 5', and the staple fiber bundle 1' is introduced into the drafting part without using the nipping device. The air in the negative-pressure suction pipes 8, 8' attached to the collector 7 is sucked through the solenoid valves 10, 10', and the front end of the staple fiber bundles 1, 1'' are pulled in the tubes 8, 8' and folded. The bundles are dragged by the motion of the fiber bundle 1', held with the back roller, and cut between the back roller and the nipping device by the action of the nipping devices 5, 5'. The drafted staple fiber bundle 1' and the fiber bundles 1, 1'' forming a slub are twisted by the rotation of the spindle 12, and integrated with each other. |
