The printed circuit edge connector is constructed from thin brass plate in the form of a letter P. The main body of the connectors is flat with cut out sections (12). Lugs bent up at right-angles to the body (17, 18) serve as crimp terminations for the conductor lead and are placed in the upright part of the 'P'. Clamping jaws (14, 16) also formed from bent up sections of the main body, and extend outwards from and parallel to the body. A printed circuit board is inserted edge-on into the jaws so that they are in contact with the contact strips on the edge of the copper printed circuit. |
