The corner table has a rectangular top (15) which is supported by a leg (114) at the corner opposite to that where the walls join. The spaces below the sides of the top adjacent to the leg are completely free of obstacles for the entire length of the sides concerned, so that the end of a sofa or bed can extend underneath the table. The cross-section of the leg can be large enough to mask the contact area between two beds, placed against the walls and extending under the table. The rest of the table can be supported by U-shaped wire frames or brackets attached to the walls.
