Grouting of fissured concrete or masonry faces - using sealed surface cover with tubular edge bead to apply vacuum and then inject grout

The process may be used to grout fissured or impaired concrete or masonry surfaces, and uses a temporary impervious surface cover to apply vacuum and finally insert grout. The cover (1) has a continuous tubular edging (2) and is stretched tightly over the subject surface (R). The edges (5) of the cover are then sealed, air or other fluid is evacuated from within the cover and the fissures of the subject surface, and finally the grout is injected. The edging tube (2) may be of semi-circular cross-section, may be used as the medium for evacuation. It may be a separate component which is sealed independently onto the surface and the cover. Grout injection may be effected through an inlet (4) in the main cover (1) body.
