PURPOSE:To operate stably a modulator independently by applying outputs of a master modulator and a slave modulator to the first and the second terminals of a circulator through switches respectively and using the third terminal of the circulator as an output terminal. CONSTITUTION:A master modulator 1 and a slave modulator 2 are connected to terminals (1) and (3) of a circulator 5 through switches 7 and 8 respectively, and a terminal (2) of the circulator 5 is connected to an output terminal 6. Since the output of the master modulator 1 is applied to the slave modulator 2, the slave modulator 2 is operated synchronously with the master modulator 1, and the power of the master modulator 1 is taken out from the output terminal 6. When only the master modulator 1 is operated independently, the master modulator 2 and the slave modualator 1 are disconnected from each other, but the operation state is not changed because a resistor 10 having a resistance value equal to the characteristic impedance of a line is connected to the slave modulator 2. |
