PURPOSE:To increase cycle life and energy density of a secondary battery by using high molecular compound having conjugated double bond as active material and using carbon as positive current collector and metal as negative current collector. CONSTITUTION:A high molecular compound such as acetyene high polymer having conjugated double bond in its principal chain is used as positive and negative active materials. In this secondary battery, carbon such as graphite is used as a positive current collector and metal such as nickel, stainless steel is as a negative current collector. This secondary battery has high energy density, long discharge time, and flat discharge voltage. It is easy to make light and compact. |
