PURPOSE:To smoothly guide air into a detecting part by a pressure difference on the border of a dust collecting portion by positioning an air suction port of a contamination degree detecting part on the suction side of the dust collecting part, and positioning an air blow-off part between the blow-off side of the dust collecting part and the suction port of a blower. CONSTITUTION:External air A sucked up from a suction grill 5 passes through the dust collecting part 6 and is blown off from a blow-off grill 10 by a blower 7, also passing through a detecting part 8 and being blown off through the blow- off grill 10 by the blower 7. An inlet port and an outlet port of the detecting part 8 are positioned in a manner of pinching the dust collecting part 6, whereby the external air A can be positively guided to the detecting part 8 by pressure loss due to the dust collecting part 6 and a pressure difference between the high pressure of a space 27 and the low pressure of a space 26, and the contamination degree of the external air A can be detected. Since the blower 7 is in a constantly driven state, response with respect to the contamination of the external air A is fast, and the operation of the air cleaner 1 is carried out appropriately. |
