PURPOSE:To simplify the stock-control and manufacture of component parts, by using one photoelectric sensor both as a reflection-type photoelectric sensor and a shielded-type photoelectric sensor. CONSTITUTION:When main bodies 3 are rotated around a hinge 4, the outside surfaces 2a of the downward projecting portions 2 of the two main bodies 3 come into contact with each other and are maintained in this state, while the vertical lines of the lower surfaces 1b of the base portions 1 of the two main bodies 3 intersect at a position being apart downward therefrom by a prescribed distance. A light generated by a light emitting element 5 proceeds downward and is reflected by a reflecting substance 11, and then it proceeds upward and reaches a light receiving element 6. When the two main bodies 3 are rotated around the hinge 4 and thereby the lower surfaces 2b of the downward projecting portions 2 come into contact with each other, the light emitting element 5 and the light receiving element 6 are made to face each other, and thereby a substance 12 located between them can be detected. |
