PURPOSE:To improve the quality of a signal by corresponding plural number of 7-bit code words where >=2 sets or <=5 sets of identical bits are consecutive and >=1 set or <=4 sets of identical bits are consecutive at the end so as to decrease the ratio of the longest inverting interval to the shortest inverted interval. CONSTITUTION:An inputted digital signal is divided sequentially into 4-bit data word. Plural 7-bit code words are selected in response to the data word. The code word where identical sign bits at each connecting part of each word are consecutive and >=1 set or <=4 sets of identical sign bits are consecutive at the end is selected among the words. A signal in response to the bit of the selected code word is transmitted serially to a transmission line. |
