The varistors (2, 3) in the combined circuit (Figure 1) are still part of the original homogeneous body. The other regions (23) of the substrate body (5) are at least virtually electrically insulating because they additionally contain at least one substance producing these properties (lithium oxide and/or manganese oxide) which has either been applied to the substrate body (5) after sintering it or to the green body before sintering it and has been diffused into the body by a further heating process (45, 45') accompanied, optionally, by simultaneous sintering (variant 2). <IMAGE> |
