PURPOSE:To promote the improvement of thermal efficiency, by using liquid phase water, obtained by contact action of compressed air with the liquid phase water, for the cooling of the compressed air and the intermediate cooling of a compressor and supplying the liquid phase water evaporating it by the contact action. CONSTITUTION:The atmospheric air 3 sucked to a compressor AC1, after being cooled in an intermediate cooler IC by liquid phase water in a pipe 24 from an exchange tower EXT and by supplied liquid phase water from an introducing pipe 2, is again compressed by a compressor AC2. Then a part of the air is introduced into a heat recovery device R1 from a pipe 8, while the rest part, after it is cooled by a self heat exchanger SR from a pipe 7, is introduced into the exchage tower EXT from a pipe 9. The exchange tower EXT, bringing the liquid phase water and the compressed air from pipes 18, 19 into direct contact with each other, allows a mixed phase mixture to flow into the heat recovery device R1 while the liquid phase water, cooled by this contact action, to recirculate into the self heat exchanger SR and the intermediate cooler IC from a pipe 20. In this way, thermal efficiency can be improved. |
