PURPOSE:To absorb warping of a lead plate caused by winding of electrode to increase battery performance by piercing a conductive core and a lead plate with a corrosion resistant member from the outside of conductive film and fixing them. CONSTITUTION:Slurry obtained by adding a binder to positive active material 4c is spreaded on both sides of a long belt-like punched metal 4b, dried, pressed, then cut to form a belt-like positive electrode 4. The edge 7a of a lead plate 7 is placed on a part of the positive electrode 4, and covered with a conductive film 11. A set of needles 12a, 12b of corrosion resistant staple 12 are pierced into the conductive film 11, the lead plate 7, the positive electrode 4, and the conductive film 11 in order, then ends of needles 12a, 12b are bent inward to fix them. |
