摘要 PURPOSE:To generate an electromagnetic wave in a single mode at high frequency, with large output capacity, by dividing a circular cathode part of a magnetron-type electron gun in the peripheral direction. CONSTITUTION:This equipment is composed of the following parts, that is, a magnetron-type electron gun 20 which generates electron beams 19, magnetic coils 21a-21e which apply magnetic fields to the electron beams 19 emitted from the electron gun 20, a resonant part 23 in which an electromagnetic wave 22 generated when the electron beams 19 pass through the magnetic fields and radiated in the diametrical direction against the running axis of the electron beams 19 becomes resonant and being amplified quasi-optically, a transmission part 24 in which the magnetic wave 22 obtained in the resonant part 23 is transmitted in the output direction, and an electron beam damp 25 in which energy of consumed electron beams 19 is converted into heat. When the electron emission surface of the electron gun 20 is divided into four equal parts, e.g., at 45 deg. intervals, the electron beams are emitted, being divided into four equal parts in the peripheral direction. These electron beams most effectively interacts with the generated electromagnetic wave.
