The invention relates to the lining of furnaces or of heat chambers by means of modular elements formed by refractory fibres. The object of the invention is to fasten a framework 4 supporting the refractory fibres 3 on the wall or armouring 2 of the furnace without piercing this wall and while disturbing as little as possible the arrangement of the fibres. To this end, two threaded parts 31, 32 carried, one by the wall 2, the other by the framework 4 are screwed onto one another by means of a drive rod 23 which has a restriction 28. When tightening is over, extra rotation of the rod causes the restriction to break and the rod to be removed. <IMAGE>
