PURPOSE:To improve the responsiveness of a linear motor in a simple structure by dividing two pieces of slender piezoelectric vibrators into a plurality of areas, polarizing them, displacing the areas, constructing a stator, and contacting a runner with the stator. CONSTITUTION:A stator 4 is composed by superposing piezoelectric vibrators 1, 2 on a stator base 3. The vibrators 1, 2 are divided into a plurality of areas in which the polarizing directions are alternately reversely formed in the longitudinal direction, and displaced substantially in half of the area from each other. A runner 12 is contacted with the stator 4. The output of an oscillator 5 is applied to the stator 4 through a phase shifter 6 and amplifiers 7, 8. |
