PURPOSE:To make it possible to quickly and easily change the position of a mirror to its folded position and to its use position by providing a lock mechanism having a spring member to energize the mirror so that it turns around the point where the mirror base is pivotally set on the spring mounting plate. CONSTITUTION:A mirror main body 1 of a door mirror is fixed to a mirror base 2, which is fixed to the door, through a hinge 3 so that it can freely rotate to incline itself frontward or rearward of the car body side. A spring mounting plate 15 is fixed to the base 2 so that it may freely turn to the rearward of the car, and one end of a tension spring 8 is fixed to the mounting plate 15 via a link 10. Additionally, a lock mechanism 16 is set up on the base 2 to lock/unlock the mounting plate 15 to the base 2. To incline the mirror rearward, the lock mechanism 16 needs to push a control knob 19b, and turn the mirror main body 1 using the force energized by a spring member 18 until it touches on a stopper 22. |
