The invention relates to a liquid/liquid extraction process for the combined extraction of cadmium(II) ions and uranium(IV) ions from phosphoric acid, by using a solvent which contains as the extractant the polyphosphate salt of a quaternary ammonium base and the hydrochloride salt of an organic amine.
