In order to be able to use a surfboard on land as well, the tread surface must be provided with wheels. Furthermore, a steering possibility must be provided for the user of such a rolling surfboard. In the invention, steering is made possible by connecting the tread surface to the front axle via a steering head in the manner of a hinge connection running obliquely to the direction of travel. Said steering head has two spaced-apart bushes, between which there is a sleeve connected to the tread surface. Guided through the bushes and the sleeve is an axle steering pivot whose longitudinal axis runs obliquely to the direction of travel. This connection of the tread surface to the front axle allows steering in that the tread surface is moved from its horizontal position into an oblique position by displacing the weight of the person standing on it. As a result, a torque is produced which is transmitted to the front axle, thus pivoting the latter to change the direction of travel.
