The anchor link arm is braked by a friction component, the retaining force of which can be overcome by a strong traction force on the anchor line. - The coupling is connected to a reserve wire or line which engages the anchor nearer to the fluke. The arrangement enables the anchor weighing angle to be altered by up to 150 deg.
