PURPOSE:To enhance the effect of car-washing, by providing jet nozzles for washing the bottom surface of the body of a vehicle to be washed during the vehicle enters a car washing area in a car washer. CONSTITUTION:When a vehicle to be washed enters a car washing area and goes over a jet pipe 6 for washing the bottom surface of the body of a vehicle, a pump P2 is started to operate manually or in association with a vehicle detection signal so that cleaning liquid is jetted under a high pressure from nozzles 6A, 6A... of the above-mentioned pipe 6 to wash away dirt such as, for example, mud adhered to the bottom surface of the vehicle body with the use of water pressure. When the rear end of the vehicle body has passed over the jet pipe 6, a selector valve 9 is changed over so that cleaning liquid is jetted under a high pressure from jet nozzles 18A, 18A of jet pipes 18, 18 to the skirt section 5A of the vehicle body to wash out mud or the like with the use of water pressure. With this arrangement even dirt adhered to the lower section of the vehicle body is washed out prior to the washing by brushes, thereby car washing may be efficiently carried out. |
