PURPOSE:To provide a drive device for opening and closing side brushes, whose attaching space is small although its travel distance is large, by providing such an arrangement that an opening and closing drive shaft is rotated by a motor fitted onto a rotary shaft, and thereby a side brush is moved along a guide rail by means of a pinion gear and a rack gear. CONSTITUTION:A side brush 5 is rotated when a rotating motor 26 is driven, and is moved along a guide rail 40 for opening and closing when an opening and closing drive motor 35 is rotated. The side brush 5 is supported by arms 21, 22 in the vertical direction. Accordingly, motors 27, 36 may be arranged on one and the same shaft so that the attaching space of the opening and closing drive device may be made small. Further, since an opening and closing drive shaft 37 is rotated to drive the side brush 5 for opening and closing along the guide rail through a pinion gear and a rack gear, thereby the side brush may be linearly moved, largely with a simple structure. |
