PURPOSE:To mold and rap casting mold by a simple mechanism by directing a die base for supporting a stationary die to a prescribed direction, pressing a moving die by a cylinder to mold molding sand and rotating the stationary die by energizing shafts which are pulled by the retreating cylinder. CONSTITUTION:The stationary die 16 of a stationary die base 12 which is supported by arms 18 by shafts 32 energized by springs 24 and supported by trunnions 14 is maintained in the prescribed direction. Molding sand is molded by pressing of the moving die 11 on a moving die base 5 by a cylinder 4 and blowing of the sand. The moving die is detached by retreating the cylinder 4 and the shafts 32 provided with springs are pulled by stoppers 33 to turn 90 deg. downward the base 12. The molding sand in the die 16 is ejected by a pusher 17 and is recovered. All the operations for producing a shell are accomplished by the operation of one cylinder 4, by which the mechanism is made extremely simple. |
