The brake jaw (9) and the second wedge-shaped brake jaw (17) bear, during the braking, against the rail (16) of the lift. The second jaw (17) is connected by means of a cable with the speed limiter fixed in the lift cage and may be drawn upwardly with respect to the brake device mounted on the cabin. To operate the safety brake device, the second jaw is displaced upwardly along an inclined guide (6) and by means of a toothed disk (20). In a free state, the toothed disk (20) is arranged in a housing (8) provided in the inclined guide (6). Thus, the braking pressure is transmitted to the rail (16) through the faces of both jaw (9, 17). The desired braking pressure may be adjusted by means of spring sets (12, 13) and spacing washers (14, 15). |
