PURPOSE:To obtain proper shape of a bead automatically by controlling depth of penetration and reinforcement to constant using information of change of groove, and controlling, if necessary, shape of penetration at the same time. CONSTITUTION:Basic conditions such as thickness of the object to be welded, set shape of groove, diameter of consumable electrode wire etc. are inputted to an operator 10. The operator 10 reads out reference conditions to obtain proper depth of penetration and reinforcement for each basic condition, depth of penetration, quantity of consumable electrode deposition etc. stored beforehand in a file 11 and outputs basic conditions to each welding device 14, 16, 16', welding running device and parallel interval setting devices 15, 15' to complete condition setting. Then, welding is started, and groove information detected by a detector 12 is inputted to the operator 10, and depth of groove, width of groove and sectional area of groove are operated. Then, the operator 10 operates preceding electrode welding current value and outputs a control signal to a preceding electrode welding device 14 to control to specified current value. |
