PURPOSE:To simplify the sorting of segments in response to the number of contacts by giving segment labels to the segments within meshes and calculating the number of contacts between the segments and rectangular area units for each segment label. CONSTITUTION:A single picture within a rectangular area unit is extracted, and the most outer circumference P of the picture is scanned (a) clockwise in order of arrow heads. This scan is developed one-dimensionally to obtain a figure (b). With this scan, a point where a screen changes to black from white is defined as ai. While a point where the screen changes to white from black is referred to as bi. Thus the same number of units are produced between points ai and bi, and this number of points is defined as the number of contacts. The number of these contacts is set at ''0'' with isolated segments, at ''2'' with non-cross segments, at >=3 with cross segments and at ''1'' with integrated segments respectively. Therefore the sorting of segments can be decided by checking the number of contacts. A varied curved line part is decided in case the projected image of each side swells out between contacts. |
