PURPOSE:To make it possible to perform accurate and early detection, by setting the detecting regions of pressure sensors for high and low pressure regions so that they are overlapped in the specified region of the pressure in an intake pipe, and judging abnormality when the difference between both pressure-signal values is not in the specified range. CONSTITUTION:A PBATC pressure sensor 9 for a high pressure region and a PBA pressure sensor 9' for a low pressure region are arranged in the intake pipe of an internal combustion engine. The signals from the sensors 9 and 9' are inputted to an A/D converter 506 through a level correcting circuit 504 and a multiplexer 505. The output of the converter is inputted to a CPU503. When the output signals P'BATC and P'BA of the sensors 9 and 9' are in the specified region C, the output signal values are changed over P'BATCFSL-P'BATCFSH and P'BAFSL-P'BAFSR. When abnormality is yielded, closing or separation is yielded in comparison with the normal time. This fact is judged by the CPU503. This is also displayed by a fault displaying light emitting diode 16. |
