MOLECULAR DIFFRACTOR AND UTILIZATION THEREOF FOR THE SUPPLY OF INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINES

Molecular diffraction device operating in the gas intake vein downstream of the carburator or of the injection system of internal combustion engines, comprising a support frame (10) for the diffraction structure which is itself secured therein by a fixing system. The device according to the invention comprises at least one diffraction element or stage (19) with a conical apex situated upstream of the structure comprising communication grooves (25) or transfer channels profiled in the gas flow direction. Each transfer channel has one or a plurality of cylindrical or square wells (26) drilled perpendicularly or obliquely to the structure axis and a diffraction slot (26 bis), which terminates the transfer channel at its lower part. The device further comprises a resonance stage (27) free of any element favouring the swirling of the gas mixture. Next to the resonance stage, there is provided a second diffraction stage (29) having a configuration similar to that of the first diffraction element or stage. The present invention implements the molecular diffraction which effects the dissociation of molecular structures into a multitude of smaller structures which have a total surface larger than the surface of the initial structure, and therefore a larger oxidation surface favouring a better combustion, and consequently reduced pollution and consumption.
