PURPOSE:To obtain a flat battery having excellent liquid leakage resistance and stable quality by applying a sealing agent to the inner surface of a battery gasket while it is rotate along a rotation axis which slants from the vertical line. CONSTITUTION:While rotating a gasket 3 along a rotation axis which is at an angle of theta relative to the vertical line, a sealing agent 8 prepared for example by dissolving asphalt in toluene was applied to the inner surface of the gasket 3 by means of a nozzle 9. As a result, the sealing agent 8 is homogeneously applied to the inner surface of the gasket 3 because centrifugal force and twisting force are applied during the application. Besides, a proper amount of the sealing agent 8 is retained in the concave areas. Accordingly, it is possible to manufacture a flat battery having excellent liquid leakage resistance. |
