PURPOSE:To suppress abrasion and biting thus to lengthen the service life by employing the facing surfaces of sealing ring as the sliding faces then forming annular grooves in said sliding faces while forming a tapered face which is slightly high at the inside and low at the outside. CONSTITUTION:The outercircumferential faces of seal rings 21a, 21b are formed into tapered resilient faces 22a, 22b where the facing surfaces of each seal ring 21a, 21b are employed as the sliding faces 23a, 23b then annular grooves 31a, 31b are made in said faces. Said grooves 31a, 31b will serve as sumps of bearing oil 29 while simultaneously function to wind the oil film. The sliding faces 23a, 23b are also tapered to be slightly high at the inside while low at the outside. Consequently, the sliding faces 23a, 23b will contact at the position where the circumferential speed is low to suppress abrasion while actual sliding face will move outward upon abrasion. |
