<p>PURPOSE:To improve the uniformity of the temperature distribution of coke in a quenching tower, and to increase the recovered heat quantity, by adding water or steam to the circulation gas flowing from the waste heat boiler to the quenching tower. CONSTITUTION:A water-inlet 16 or a steam-inlet 17 is attached to the circulation gas line 6 of a dry quenching apparatus for coke, and water or steam is added to the circulation gas flowing from the waste heat boiler 10 to the quenching tower 1. The addition of the water, etc. is controlled mainly according to the composition of the gas measured by the gas analyzer 18, the discharged coke temperature measured by the coke thermometer 19, and the outlet gas temperature measured by the gas thermometer 20 attached to the outlet- side gas line 8. The excess circulation gas is passed through the branch 13 of the inlet-side gas line 6, and a part of the gas is exhausted from the diffusion pipe to the atmosphere, and the remaining part of the gas is recovered by the gas recovery system 15 and utilized as the blast furnace gas, etc.</p> |
