A left stop 40 is adjustably mounted in an internally and externally threaded sleeve 38 which is adjustable in the nozzle body to vary the valve loading spring 22 and is locked in position by a lock nut 46, the outer surface of the sleeve 38 having an unthreaded portion 35c in the region of the shoulder 48 against which nut 46 abuts. The sleeve 38 is longitudenally slit for its whole length on one side 50 and slit for a major part 52 of its length on the opposite side to allow it to clamp the threaded part of stop 40 when the lock nut 46 is tightened. The spring 22 seats at one end in a member 28 having a part-spherical surface 25 engaging a similar surface on the end of the valve stem and at the other end in a member 30 with a part spherical surface seating on a similar surface on a member 32 engaging the adjustable sleeve 38. |
