The fully automatic coffee dispensing machine is designed to provide a fully stirred drink and to require little cleaning and maintenance. Tapered cylindrical cartons (7) are located in a magazine and are singly extracted. The carton is held in a ring (4), a hot water injector (13) inserted and the carton filled to a specific level. After removal of the injector, a stirring shaft (16) is inserted into the filled carton. This shaft has a gear like projection at its free end, which when rotated causes efficient mixing. After mixing the agitator is withdrawn from the mixture and continues to rotate for a definite time period within the carton but above the surface level of the liquid.
