Unit lengths of slide fastener stringers are joined by elements comprising an adhesive sheet section holding the tape parts together. The fastener elements are bridged by a curved longitudinally extending plastics slugs spanning the width of the elements. The smooth curved nature of the plastics slugs facilitates easy slipping of the slider from one stringer length to another.
