Mono- and diorganoperoxylin compds. R4-n Sn(OOR')n' (where R is alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, cycloalkyl, aralkyl or aryl and R' is alkyl, alkenyl, cycloalkyl or aralkyl,) n is 1 or 2 are produced by reacting organo-Sn compds. R4-nSn(OH)n or compd. R3Sn-O-SnR3 or R2SnO with R'-OOH, while continuously removing water formed. More specifically water removed by azeotropic distillation, and the solvent distilled off is freed from entrained water and recycled to the reactn. soln. The present process yields tin comps. in practically quantitative amounts without the formation of difficultly separable by-products. |
