Cutting device is employed to produce a longitudinal cut during the formation of a piece of product intended for a specific purpose or otherwise. The device possesses a rotating device fixed below the needle cap so as to work in unison with the device and be synchronized with the needle cylinder. The rotating device is provided with a cutout in the angle position to the needle cylinder, at which the cut is to be formed, and provision is made within this device (10) for a cutting device which can be made to protrude out of this cutout into an active position, in which the cutting device grasps the piece of product with the aid of a lip (14A; 54B) and cuts it through. Cutting device can consists of an electrical resistance, against which the fabric is led from the pointed lip on on which it slides, whereby an extension is provided on which the parts cut through by melting slide and, there-upon, cool off. This prevents their fusing together again after being cut. |
