PURPOSE:To permit the edge preparation of a cut pipe body while cutting same irrespective of the sectional profile of the cut pipe by providing a pair of cutting torches on a torch holding bed which are spaced longitudinally of cut pipe from each other to slant the ends opposed to each other. CONSTITUTION:In a pipe body edge preparation device for preparing the edge of a cut pipe, a mount on which the pipe A to be cut provided on a machine bed 1 is mounted is constituted such that a plurality of sets of rollers having each a pair of rollers slanted upward V-shaped, opposed to each other and journalled are arranged in serires on the machine bed 1. Next, the pipe A is mounted on the mount, advanced and inserted into a hole 13 in a turn ring 12 so that a marking-off line along which the pipe is cut corresponds to cutting torches 29. And pnematic pressure is adjusted relative to a hydraulic cylinder 23 to swing a swing arm 22 so that the pipe A abuts against a fixed ring 26 and a movable ring 27 on a torch holding bed 24 under a predetermined pressure. Thus, the pipe A can be cut while executed the edge preparation. |
