PURPOSE:To compensate the tapering of the work interior due to the deflection of a grindstone shaft by traversing the grindstone of an internal grinding machine and increasing the surface pressure between the grindstone and the work as the grindstone shaft proceeds to increase the grinding margin. CONSTITUTION:A grindstone 5 is traversed in the X-direction via the rotation of a motor 7 while the grindstone 5 driven by a motor 3 is brought into contact with the interior of a work W, and the grindstone 5 is shifted in the Y- direction via the drive of a motor 9 by a predetermined cutting feed quantity, thereby the work W interior is grind-machined in a predetermined shape. Multiple inner-diameter sensors are provided on a work mount 6, and the measured and calculated taper value is inputted to a taper data input section 12. A control section C controlling the motor 7 and motor 9 based on the taper value of the data input section 12 is also arranged. Accordingly, a grindstone shaft 4 is shifted in the Y-direction so that the grinding margin is increased as the grindstone shaft 4 proceeds toward the work W, thus the cylindricity of the work W is improved regardless of the deflection of the shaft 4. |
