PURPOSE:To keep off any sudden drop in seal pressure after a gasket being permanent set in fatigue, by making up a seal convex strip into plural pieces, while forming an adhesive layer in a position receiving a small surface pressure of a groove part to be formed between these seal convex strips. CONSTITUTION:A gasket 16A is set up between a head cover 1 and a cylinder head 5. In this gasket 16A, an adhesive layer 19 is formed in a groove part to be formed between seal convex strips 8 and 8. The formed position of this adhesive layer 19 is usually extended over the whole circumference of the groove part but it may be only the position receiving a small surface pressure from other parts of at least these seal convex strips 8. Thus, a sudden drop in seal pressure after a gasket being permanent set in fatigue is checkable. |
