PURPOSE:To prevent leakage of the machining fluid during injection of the fluid by constructing the wire electrode guide section and the machining fluid supply section as one body, and by forming a middle piece which extends from the main body to the hollow part of the electrode via a slit of the electrode, and thus blocking the inlet space of the electrode. CONSTITUTION:A pipe-shaped wire electrode 1 having a slit 11 in the axial direction which connects the hollow space with the cavity 21 of a pipe-shaped wire electrode guide.machining fluid supply section 2 which is formed in one body is introduced from a wire electrode introducing opening 22. The machining fluid is poured into the cavity 21 through a machining fluid supply port 24, the further injected to the hollow part 12 from the slit 11. The wire electrode 1 which is introduced from the wire electrode introducing opening 22 is pulled out from a take-out opening 23 towards the electric discharge machining area. However, since the introducing opening 22 is blocked by a middle piece 26, the machining fluid is prevented from leaking out of the introducing opening 22. In addition, since the slit 11 is blocked by a middle piece 28 at the wire electrode take-out opening 23, as required, the machining fluid is prevented from flowing out via the slit 11 in a large quantity. |
