PURPOSE:To enable stable detection of flame current for long time by adding N to an Fe-Cr-Al alloy or Fe-Cr-Al-Y alloy which is inexpensive and has excellent machineability and resistance to oxidation at such an amt. at which the prescribed effective content of Ti is attained. CONSTITUTION:Ti is incorporated at <=1.0% into an Fe-Cr-Al alloy or Fe-Cr- Al-Y alloy and the content of N is so controlled that the effective content of Ti attains 0.1-0.5%. The alloy obtd. in such a way is used as a flame rod and a flame current detecting sensor is constituted. If such alloy is used, the oxide film generated on the rod surface when the rod is used for long time is maintained conductive and therefore the detection of flame current is accomplished stably for long time. |
