PURPOSE:To improve durability by extending a plurality of ribs separated in the circumferential direction towards the outer peripheral lip, crossing a valley part from the inner peripheral lip, in an annular packing having a valley part formed, between the inner and outer peripheral lips separated each other, onto one surface of the packing body. CONSTITUTION:A packing 1 is constituted of an annular body 2 and inner and outer peripheral lips 4 and 5 which project in the axial direction over the whole periphery from the one surface of the body 2 and has a valley parts 3 between the lips separated each other. The inner and outer lips 4 and 5 have the respective projection parts 9 and 10 which are continuous in the peripheral direction and project outwardly from the outside surface. A plurality of ribs 16 which are separated each other in the circumferential direction are extended towards the inside surface 5A of the outer peripheral lip 5, crossing the valley part 3 from the inside surface 4A of the inner peripheral lip 4. Each rib 6 is set nearly in the tangential direction with respect to the inner peripheral lip 4. The height H of the top edge surface 16A of each rib 16 with respect to the packing body 2 is made smaller than the height (h) of the outer edge surface 4B of the inner peripheral lip 4 with respect to the packing body 2. |
