PURPOSE:To eliminate effect on measured values due to changes in the surface and condition of an object to be measured by arranging contact arms with a proper length having respective angle sensors at pivoted sections thereof to enable secular measurement of the position of the object being measured. CONSTITUTION:Two contact arms 4 and 4' adapted to oscillate within the parallel plane with respect to the machine foundation 3 are pivoted in a machine box 2 of a detector section 1 so as to project from the machine box 2. Then, the contact arms 4 and 4' are mounted on rotating shafts of motors 5 and 5' such as servo motor separated at a fixed distance from each other perpendicularly to the base end while provided with contact sensors 6 and 6' for detecting contact with other objects. Angle sensors 7 and 7' are connected to the rotating shafts of the motors 5 and 5'. This enables secular measurement of the position of an object to be measured thereby eliminating effect on measured value due to changes in the surface and condition of the object being measured. |
