PURPOSE:To surely find out a range of operation in which the supply of fuel to an engine should be stopped, without using an idling switch, by stopping the supply of fuel when the load upon the engine and the quantity of its intake air have become lower than prescribed values. CONSTITUTION:A control circuit 8, which calculates an injected quantity of fuel on the basis of an intake air quantity obtained from a flow meter 2, the rotational frequency of an engine obtained from a crankshaft angle sensor 5, etc., nullifies the cutting of fuel when the speed of a vehicle is not more than 10km/h and not equal to 0km/h or when the load Lb calculated as Q/n is higher than a first set value L1. The control circuit 8 performs the cutting of fuel when the load L is not higher than the first set value L1, the rotational frequency N is not more than a first set level N2 and the vehicle speed is not lower than 24km/h or equal to 0km/h or when the rotational frequency is not higher than a second set level N1. |
