PURPOSE:To form an uniform reflecting layer by pouring down the first coating liquid containing light-reflecting material from the upper opening of the glass tube held vertically and after turning the glass tube over, further by pouring down the second coating liquid form the upper opening. CONSTITUTION:The first reflecting layer is formed by pouring the first coating liquid containing the light-reflecting material which cannot be vitrificated easily from the upper opening of a vertically held glass tube. After turning the glass tube over, the second reflecting layer is formed over the first layer by pouring down the second coating liquid containing the light reflecting material which can be vitrificated easily. After baking, a scraper is moved inside the glass tube so that both reflecting layers are removed to form an opening. Thereafter an coating fluid containing a fluorescent material is poured to form a fluorescent layer. Thus formed is a reflection-type fluorescent lamp which can be used as the light source of a facsimile. Thus by forming plural reflecting layers and by changing the direction of coating of the reflecting layers, the illuminance level in the axial direction can be made uniform, and moreover, the illuminance distribution can be improved. |
