PURPOSE:To prevent the uncontrolled rotation of an engine and enable stable ISC control, by providing a means for confirming in every prescribed time whether a calculation and processing in every prescribed time other than the former is being performed or not. CONSTITUTION:In an engine controller, a calculation for ISC control is performed in a step 13 in every prescribed time A. An ISCRUN flag is checked in a step 15 in every prescribed time B. If the flag is found as O, it is checked in a step 17 whether the prescribed time A has elapsed or not. If the time A has elapsed, an output signal to an actuator is made zero in a step 18 to stop an engine. As a result, the engine is prevented from performing an uncontrolled rotation, and the ISC control is stabilized. |
