PURPOSE:To obtain excellent bearing characteristic achieved by making up property of ceramics by securing ring type or segment type ceramics to the inside of a metal case and by coating the outside of the metal case with elastic material and mounting said case to bearing supporting portion. CONSTITUTION:In a embodiment in the figure, a right half is an example 1 of bearing in which ceramics are formed in ring type and a left half is an example 1a in which column segments are formed by ceramics. In the example 1, ring type ceramics 1 are fixed to the inside of a metal case 2. The external circumference and the side end face of the upper side of the metal case 2 are coated by elastic material 3 such as hard rubber, and the case is accommodated by engaging a step portion 5 with the inner part of a casing bearing supporting portion 4, while a cover 6 is installed on the upper opening with screws 7 being brought in contact with upper end face of the elastic material 3. Then, the property of ceramics 1 sliding with a rotary shaft sleeve 1b is made up to improve bearing characteristic. |
