PURPOSE:To make the titled device difficult in generating shortage in electromotive force even in the case of use under a small amount of light by specifying the surface roughness of a surface protection layer. CONSTITUTION:The surface protection layer 4 is formed by adhering a film or the like made of glass or polymer material having photo transmittance on the clear electrode layer of the solar battery, or by coating the layer with a solution or the like. The surface roughness of such a surface protection layer is set at 0.3-100mum, and preferably at 0.5-50mum. Thereby, a light of a large angle of incidence subjected to total reflection also comes into the solar battery 1 and reaches a semiconductor layer 3 because of the presence of the rough surface 4 on the surface of said protection layer, and then a high electromotive force generates even under the condition of a small amount of light. When the surface roughness exceeds 100mum, irregular reflection becomes difficult to occur; on the contrary, the incident light reduces. |
