PURPOSE:To enable coloring beautifully and clearly by a method wherein after energizing property is lost at a desired etched part, the etched part having energizing property alone is immersed into an electro painting tank to attach a paint therein thereto and then, undergoes a baking and drying. CONSTITUTION:An etching is done on the surface of a stainless steel scale substrate A by photoengraving for graduation lines 1 and indication numerals 2. Then, with an etching protection layer 3 on, a desired color paint 4 is filled into proper etched part by screen printing or the like or after the surface thereof is covered with a vinyl film 5 to be washed with pure water, it is energized being immersed into an electro painting tank. Under the condition, a paint in the tank is attached to parts filled with the paint 4 or the etched part (a) except for those covered with the film 5. Then, when the substrate A is taken out of the electro painting tank and undergoes a baking and drying, the paint can be fastened on the substrate. This enables the coloring beautifully and clearly. |
